Mini Planets

In today’s skill spine session we used photoshop to create mini planets. Although I am very familiar with photoshop, I had never tried this method of creating before. I dont often use distortion in my images aside from the liquify tool ocassionally, however I think trying something like this coupled with my glitch work could produce some very interesting results. I found it quite fun and I tried with a few different types of images. In the middle one I quite like the line created from the water meeting the shore. The idea of using images with clear paths and lines could create interesting patterns when distorted.

Actually as I write this I’m thinking I want to try it out with a previous glitch I have done…

Ok yeah these look very cool, especially since the edges extend out with pixels from the images, and the color noise makes for very cool pattern.
